Paper-dry are my lips
My tongue numb and slow
Give me breath and life
And I shall give you all of me

Home
A fisherwoman sits upon
the edge of her gondola
steadying her raft.
She anchors her toes on
slippery stones beneath,
sure-footed and wet.
In a floating nest,
she rocks herself home.
Whisperer
Let me
Dip
My hands
Into the well
Of your patience
And slake
Anger
At your mercy
Or else
Bridle me
Claim me
As the eye
Does the storm
Aloft
A bridge on the left
It’s shadow on the river
Red tram on neither
Tiger Swallowtail
Summery day.
Butterflies aloft
drift down
to bask in
the root of the earth.
Gathering, an admiring rain
pools gossamer
over yellow wings.
Well
In the well, the surface is always calm
But deeper it runs than any lake
And longer, does it journey than any river
As unfathomable as an iceberg
It is never as cold
And nurtures a kind reflection
Of those who draws its waters
Dowsing
The stone doesn’t yield
Don’t seek water where there’s none
Hope instead, for rain
Droplet
In the droplet lives the reflection
Of a thousand rays of light
A condensation of moisture
Scattered from beyond the stars
