cloudy sentiment envelops
a world of stillness
the cars parked and snowed-in
I too, peering beyond
my window appear
content to be contained
cloudy sentiment envelops
a world of stillness
the cars parked and snowed-in
I too, peering beyond
my window appear
content to be contained
a snow day
seems to agree
with my declined
invitation
two weeks ago
snow in a deluge —
each snowflake distinct
but unseen
in the masses
Under snow shower
Nervous hare twitches
Hawk on the prowl
beyond the window
snow-lined bench
invites homebodies
Have you noticed?
All snowmen wait
with their arms outstretched
as if hoping to provide
an embrace
Snow flurries while I walk
but rain as I peer out
the window
In the morning
dry pavement
And not a trace
of either
Hands in my pockets
I do not envy the moon
her lonesome path
although I fail to see
any but my own:
footprints in the snow
under an obscuring
snowfall
hidden moon
silent she-wolf
up in the mountains
a crystal lattice
will it shatter if I ask
where it came from?
