Fiction & Poetry Journal of T. Wong

Assurances

Dearest one, why do you sigh?
The answers you seek
do not reside
in that endless blue sky.

They are here besides you
in my breath and gaze,
the kindness I return
to you in spades.

Let my goodwill penetrate
that hazy pout, which speaks of
dissatisfaction caused by doubt.
