upon the dimly lit stage
sings the beggar girl
her ditty echoing
through a theater decayed
her curtsy
to the empty, imagined crowd
daintily flourished
like china

  1. By your agile weaving in of images from a variety of contexts, you flood the reader with possibilities and import, only a bit of which can be seen on the dimly lit stage you have staged. Lovely and strong. Thanks.
