sweet-coated lies
geegaws amidst the gleaming
but take stock of actions and kindness instead;
In doing so, I find virtues better well-pled.

I really like this – Though in a way it depresses me a bit because it reminds me that as poets, we are merely words echoing actions and kindness. It’s quite a conundrum.
I don’t think that’s bad, as long as we follow what we preach. =)
