the learned who chastise
the ignorance of others
while being unable to
stand correction themselves
are incapable of true knowledge
of the secular world
and of themselves

  1. The three most intelligent and thoughtful people I have ever met were the quietest humblest people who would laugh in disbelief that anyone thought they were intelligent and thoughtful, they just notice things.

  2. Very true. I would add a second stanza about the ignorant who give themselves a pseudo intelligence by knocking down the wise simply because their opinion is admired. Takes all sorts unfortunately, and human stupidity is found at all levels πŸ™‚

    1. Sure. But I don’t think just because an opinion is admired that it should never be criticized. But if someone is just using nonsense arguments, it only reinforces their own stupidity in front of others.

      1. I’m just getting very sceptical about people’s especially young people’s ability to recognise true wisdom from the hate-filled rants that pose as truth. I’ve just seen too much ignorance raised to the pinnacle of common sense lately. My opinon of the human race is at an all time love as you might have noticed πŸ™‚
