Text Etiquette

If I think of unanswered texts
like I do unanswered letters
then either the party is “Deceased”
or moved, “Return to Sender.”

Either way, your correspondence
(and your relationship)
is not appreciated.

  1. The electronic age may have changed the way we communicate, but it hasn’t changed that we still want to hear back from those we message. Etiquette has certainly gotten worse though, and potentially very annoying if someone abuses the instantaneous way messages are sent and received.

    1. It may be the ease of communication that makes us take it for granted. Also, it’s hard to believe someone forgot about your text if they use the phone everyday. A letter may be displaced or lost.
