I have a problem with Academics
that try to define the human condition
and decide what is best
for the majority of
What they study is theories
many theories over many years
statistics that are both pro and anti
But if one person
one in this humanity
they propose they understand or help
then that naysayer is a child
or a naïve fool
They have forgotten that a piece of paper
does not make them a teacher
or that it demands respect
They’ve forgotten what humanity looks like
unmasked and un-blurred
thronged in a shadowy crowd
It looks like me
and the person
they used to be.

That’s a lovely quote. I want to jot it down and keep it somewhere. Thanks! ❤
Excellent commentary on pedants! Fantastic message for all of us.
Glad you thought so. Thanks so much, as always. =)
The actuality of our condition is an uncertainty, beyond what we can determine. Our science and philosophy avoids this with their notion and sense of reality – reality is there, beyond our knowing and actuality. The whole body is in and of reality, and we can relate with him or her, as an actuality and his or her part.
That’s a good way of looking at it. If there isn’t really an absolute actuality, that would foster a lot more tolerance.
Well done T.
You’re welcome T.
Powerful! I love this.

WOW, that is fabulous.
Aww, shucks. ❤
This is exactly what makes you a poet 😉
You too! =)
Another small faction of the human experience with oversize influence. Nice poetry.
Thank you! I never thought of it this way, but yes, sometimes the “experts” need to take a step back.
Nails aspects of my college experience on the head. I appreciate your perspective on this topic, as well as your thoughts on my own work!
It’s not too hard to have an inflated ego when you have a captive audience hanging onto your words as gospel for a passing grade. Unfortunate. Thank you!
David Hume said it best: “Amidst all your philosophies, be still a man.” Great poem!
Thank you. Another good quote to jot down! =)
Loved this poem! Shared it on Facebook!
