Frustration Against Two Walls

Although my limbs
are fully-grown
and need contortion

still I find
that childhood nook
in my parent’s house
where I sat

many an hour
at the injustice of it all —

Do Not Disturb:
I’m in time out.

  1. Delightful! I grew up in the time before “time out.” My time was the time of “drop your pants, hand me your belt, and bend over”! 🙂

  2. This made me laugh,
I view it as a poem that fits perfect for parents, we have our kids who go on timeout and this is pretty much the thoughts that are going through their little defiant minds 🙂
    Nice write up.
